Your Story is Not Over
In our latest episode of the Lead with HOPE Podcast, I sat down with Steve. He is a pastor, entrepreneur, and founder of the You Are Worthy Network. We discussed how shifting your mindset toward your inherent worthiness can transform your leadership and your life.
The Worthiness Mindset
Many leaders feel "stuck," often due to a mindset rooted in unworthiness and limited thinking. Steve shares that even the most successful entrepreneurs and high-achieving professionals, including doctors, lawyers, and national TV contestants, frequently battle seasons of feeling unworthy of love, respect, and success.
Strategies to Reclaim Your Worth:
The Mirror Exercise: Challenge yourself to look in the mirror, look yourself in the eyes, and vocalize that you are worthy and loved. While it can be an intense emotional experience, it is a powerful way to combat the lack of self-love often found in today’s culture.
"Even Though" Affirmations: Acknowledge your current reality without letting it define your value. For example: "Even though I am facing challenges right now, I am working toward growth and trusting in future blessings". Ending on a hopeful response ensures your destination is more powerful than your starting point.
Daily Mindset Habits: Confidence is built through consistency. Grounding your day with early morning mindset work, such as scripture reading, positive affirmations, or devotional time, tunes your "instrument" before you face the world.
Rewire Through Gratitude: Your brain is designed to attract what you focus on. By making the conscious choice to focus on gratitude rather than lack, you can literally rewire your brain toward optimism.
Your Story Is Not Over
If you are in a low season, remember that your current struggle is just a chapter, not the whole book. Adversity and pain can be refined into purpose and character, ultimately positioning you to help others through your unique experience. As Steve reminds us: "Some of your best days are still in front of you".
